What is a sustainability study?

Inner city traffic congestion was not responding to tried and tested solutions – so we set out to create an outside the box concept which would help us resolve this.

Our small town (population 7600) won through to the first round of the UEFA Cup – we faced hosting a First Division team with an expected 20,000 travelling supporters for the game – how would our infrastructure, our policing etc cope?

A large and unexpected increase in migrant population meant the urgent need for housing solutions – but there was no place in our development plan for them

Problems faced by towns and cities around the world - problems which are common to many other towns and cities; problems which require solutions.

A Sustainability Study is  an article discussing the problems faced by your town or city, the solutions you put in place, the results, the lessons learned and the ideas which arose from it.

The study can be of any length (we advise between 1000 and 5000 words) acompanied by appropriate images, and other relevant items to illustrate your experience.
